* On 26 May 2005 the first direct flight to New York was started by Continental Airlines to Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR). On 3 July 2006, the airline announced it had carried its 100,000th passenger on this route.
* On June 20, 2006 13.5kg (approximately £3m) of cocaine was seized in the airport. The seizure, was the largest in Irish history. Two German men were arrested on suspicion of trafficking. It is believed they were boarding a flight to Luton Airport and had intended to travel onwards to mainland Europe. [2]

If returning between 23:00 and 07:00, go the car park office situated in the long stay car park. You will then need to present your voucher and the attendant will validate your car park ticket. Proceed to your car and exit the car park with your ticket. |
